Elito: Looking for sustainable vendors

by Apparel Online

A comparatively new organization, Bangalore-based Elito Solutions & Services, offering wide array of solutions to business needs through support on product development, competitive sourcing and merchandising, is growing in multiple directions. With a focus on the emerging e-commerce companies,
which it believes are the future retailers of tomorrow, it is looking for new vendors who are especially able to handle sustainable products. Furthermore, the company is increasing its product offerings and looking to associate with top companies for niche business segments. Laiqur Rahman, Director of this about 11⁄2 years old company and a proud Niftian who has worked with top organizations like Levi Strauss & Co, Landmark Group and Reliance Retail, shared the factors that make the sourcing company different from the many existing ones. “We are having decades of industry experience and close associations with the best brands throughout the world,
our team of expert sourcing professionals provide factories the best services. Further, we understand contemporary business dynamics which is constantly throwing challenges to the company to remain competitive with ‘best in Laiqur Rahman, Director, Elito Solutions & Services class’ products and services while managing to maintain top line and bottom line,” shares Laiqur. As many emerging e-commerce companies don’t have the depth, though they have the width, and offer smaller quantity orders, it doesn’t work for them to approach bigger companies and Elito is filling this gap with its wide network and knowledge of industry. With a team of 11 people, the company also boasts of Kumar Valliyod,
an ex-Levi Strauss India, heading quality and technical services for more than 2 decades, as its Director. Kumar is a well-known name in the industry and he takes personal interest in providing technical support to the factories and tries to improve them. Talking about the type of factories they want to associate with, Laiqur says, “We will prefer sustainable manufacturers who are flexible and more adaptive. They should have flexibility of operations and approach to do domestic and small orders too, along with exports.” As of now, Elito is working to source for private labels of Spencer’s,, and brands like Chumbak, FCUK, Antigravity and some more overseas buyers.
More than a buying house, it works as a design-to-delivery solution provider. The strength of Elito is its flexibility to serve order quantities which range from 100 to 5,000 pieces per stock keeping unit (sku). It offers solutions in terms of product development, technical support like fits, grading of styles, size sets of products to its clients. Having its office in Bangladesh also, the company has tie-ups with a large number of quality conscious, cost-effective garment producers who deliver to the customers, their specified needs by the required deadline.
